Welcome to day number 18. Today we want to share with you the effects of smoking on the spine. You probably already know that smoking is not a healthy habit. But most people are unaware that the toxins from smoking can increase the rate of degeneration and arthritis in the spine. One recent study showed that smokers have a 50% higher likelihood of developing severe degenerative disc disease than non-smokers.
The spinal disc not only degenerates at faster rates with smokers, but when you stop smoking, it doesn’t regenerate on its own. In fact, in the study, they said that you need to seek out other therapeutics, like chiropractic, like mobility exercises (spinal hygiene exercises), things that will actually restore that function and help to regenerate those discs. Watch the video below now…
You can do this. I know you can. It’s going to be life changing. All right, go get those exercises done, and I’ll see you in the next video!
